“Kharkiv has made and has been making its contribution to the big all-Ukrainian deal”, – said Roman Waschuk, Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine at the informal meeting with members of Kharkiv IT Cluster and other leading industry representatives.
In March, 3th during his working trip to Kharkiv Mr. Waschuk visited Kharkiv IT Cluster. He discussed with Kharkiv IT companies’ top managers what are the perspectives of collaboration between Canada and Ukraine in IT sphere. Particularly they talked about Kharkiv region, its features, and opportunities.

Ukraine is known among Canadians, mentioned the Ambassador, but still our business leaders should work on their international reputation. Especially it concerns Ukrainian tech industry.

“You are to work with The Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, with Canadian partners of Kharkiv IT Cluster companies and tell them about yourself and your potential. I think you have all the means to make your positive business image”, – said Roman Waschuk.

He also reminded that there is Canada-Ukraine Trade and Investment Support Project. One of its main subjects is information technologies.

Kharkiv IT Cluster presented to Mr. Waschuk the local companies’ achievements. The Ambassador had an opportunity to learn more about Kharkiv IT infrastructure, qualifications and expertise of the regional specialists. Kharkiv IT Cluster members got the unique chance to inquire the spokesperson how to link with Canadian partners in the most efficient way.
